Airport News (May 28 - June 4)

  • ‌‌Airport Dining and Retail
    • Kawaii Treats Vending machine has been moved from Gina Marie Lindsey Hall to S Concourse
    • Starbucks on Ticketing will be closing on May 31, and it will be transitioning to another concept called Neighborhood Cafe in Mid-June
    • Lowrider Cookie and The Confectionary in the A Concourse will close at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday May 31. New tenants will be coming in June.
  • TW@SEA is now available online - Starting this week so you can bookmark and share with others who don't have work emails, check back every week
  • Edelweiss to Zurich Inaugural Event - Edelweiss Air will start servicing with nonstop flights to Switzerland’s largest city on June 2. The service will operate twice a week June - September and is the first service between SEA and Switzerland. There will be a small gate event at S10 at 3:30 p.m.
  • Korean's 20th Anniversary - Korean will be celebrating 20 years of serving Seattle - Seoul on June 2

Upgrade SEA

Here's what's happening with Upgrade SEA. ‌The Interactive Map is available with the latest information 

  • ‌‌Checkpoint 1 Relocation
    • Aiming for a Friday, June 6 Grand Opening. The new Checkpoint 1 will open with at least 3 lanes, General Screening only from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • SEA Underground Controls
    • From June 1 - 6 the Blue Line/South Loop closure overnight prompting over the ramp bussing from B20/21 from S1A from 11 p.m. - 5 a.m.
  • ‌‌SEA Gateway
    • ‌Scaffold around Baggage Claim 13 causing pinch points in the area‌‌‌‌‌

Port Honors Three Airline Partners with 2025 Fly Quiet Awards

The Port of Seattle announced this year’s Fly Quiet Award winners, celebrating the achievements of Air Canada, Frontier Airlines, and Air France. The three airline partners, which all operate out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), exemplified the Port’s environmental goals and desire to be a good neighbor to communities. Air Canada and Frontier Airlines received the best overall scores for operations, while Air France earned recognition for showing the most significant improvements.
